Default Recent warnings about atkins

I don't know if anybody else has heard the new "warnings" about atkins lately on their local news. The new warnings are about saturated fats in the foods we eat. They focused on steak and bacon. I might eat one steak a year, I really don't like them. And for bacon, I might eat it 3 times a week for breakfast and have at most 3 pieces. People really do need to find out what we eat, and not make assumptions that we all eat steak and a pound of bacon a day. I just wondered if anybody else had heard of this recent media thoughts about atkins.

Hi Belle,

This has been comprehensively discussed here.

The Atkins people are now saying they were misquoted - see their statement here.

Cheers.

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I thought that someone else probably posted it somewhere else, but I had no idea where at.

Isn't it amazing? A million people doing Atkins and yet they think the whole million of us must be stupid as well as overweight. If you did a comparison of our weekly menu against someone badmouthing our WOL I think they'd find that we eat much healthier than they do.
