Default Newbie in Cajun Country Needs TDC Support!

Hi,

Just found this forum last night and am trying to find all the great information I can. Have been doing the low carb, Atkins, thing since July, 2003. I have lost about 35 pounds, but still have a long way to go.

I have fibromyalgia and take meds that have helped to slow my metabolism to nothing. Low carb is the only way that I have managed to lose any weight at all. When diagnosed with the fibromyalgia 9 years ago, I had managed to lose down below my high school weight and worked out every day. I would love to see those days again.

Look forward to losing and learning with you all.

Debra

Hi Debra,

Welcome to the TDC! I am also a somewhat slow loser -- I have been low carbing for about 18 months -- but the pounds do add up.

Welcome - you will find the support you need here. Many people say they are slow loosers - but they are loosers all the same and the pounds do add up!

Welcome Debra, and good luck with continuing your effort. I admire your effort to keep going when the cards are stacked against you with fibromyalgia and meds! Keep up the good work!

Who cares if we are slow losers,,,the key word there is LOSE!! Remember, every pound lost is the equivalent of four sticks of butter!!!! They do add up! Hang in there!

Hi Debra! Welcome to the forum and to the TDC!

I don't know if you're aware of it, but there is also an area of the forum devoted to fibro issues. Click here.

Good luck to you!

Donald
