Question Is LC bread an induction nono?

I'm trying to get myself back into ketosis after thanksgiving, and I'm still not there yet. Granted, earlier this week I found myself in places without food and got some LC bars, which certainly didn't help. So, now I'm into day 2 of being "clean" from the LC bars, but I am eating some organic LC bread. It has the following stats:

I think that the Atkins breads are induction-acceptable, so would this be also?

Best bet-- no. For the best chance of success, stick to the acceptable foods list in the book.

I agree...stay with meats, cheese, veggies, cream......none of the things you add after induction. I don't think Atkins bread is allowed on induction either. Good luck!

Hi Delilah,

The induction ban on grain products is intended to help us get past the cravings that they can cause. The low carb bread products, used as a part of a balanced low carb menu, will not knock you out of ketosis. It is basically the carb level you consume that will determine if you stay in ketosis or not.
It probably is a good idea, however, to do strict induction if you have fallen away from your plan considerably and are experiencing all those old cravings again. Otherwise, just cut out those nasty LC bars and return to the good stuff.

Johnie
