Unhappy nighttime eating

Okay, so I don't know if there's just something wrong with me, but I have this problem with getting up about an hour and half after I go to sleep with either an immensely strong urge to go downstairs and eat (usually Lucky charms or chips ) or I just sort of "find" myself downstairs already- I wasn't awake enough when I walked down to remember.
Any advice?
Thanks!

Have you just started low carbing? If you have, the cravings will get easier with time. My first suggestion would be to get the offending carby items out of the house if possible. At least until you have made it past the crazy craving phase that usually goes along with the first week or so of induction. Later comes the dreams about carbs....

Aside from NOT having the foods you crave in the house... try a protein snack before bed. Cooked turkey is especialy good, but a hard-boiled egg, a bit of cheese will do nicely.
