Hola!
Has somebody tried L-carnitine and CoQ for break up a weight loss logjan or speed a litlle bit the weight loss?
Both are recommended by Dr. Atkins in his book and since they are expensive here, I would like to know the opinions of those who have tried them.

Some people have tried them. The effective amounts of L-carnitine are rather large and, as you say, quite expensive. But I don't remember any post that says there was a big effect. Most don't notice anything.

Why not do searches for L-carnitine and CoQ10 to see what has been reported?

I found L-Carnitine to ONLY be effective if I am also working out. If I am not lifting weights, I noticed no increase in weight loss. I have been taking it on and off for about 5 years.

I have noticed a difference in my weight loss since I began taking L-Carnitine about 3 weeks ago. I take about 1500-2000 mg. per day and it definitely has helped me lose faster. I do not take CoQ-10 because it causes me to have heart palpitations.

I Take both suppements and they helped me not to have the periodic weight loss stallings I tend to have. I have a slow metabolisms.
I bought all the supplements Dr. Atkins recommended which I thought might increase my weight loss & I believe they've helped me.

Guys, thank you.
I'll give it a try. Terese, how much do you take? More than 1500 mg of L Carnitine?

Arrow L-Carnitine & CoQ10

Hi,
I take L-Carnitine 1000 mg. in liquid form (vegetable glycerine) 2 times a day and about 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons each time.
CoQ10 100mg. one capsule a day only.

The L-Carnitine I buy is from Jarrow Formulas and it also has 10mg. Pantothenic Acid...It's a red/white bottle.
I'm sure most health food stores have it, but you can also find it at
www.jarrow.com

I hope that helps.
