Default Low carb cookbook

I'm moving in to pre-maintenance and want to start experiencing with recipies. Unfortunately we have no bookstores in our town, so I will have to probably order over the internet.

My concern is: buying a book without flipping thru it

Here's what I want: I want a cook book with simple, everyday recipies, not recipies with ingredients I don't have or never heard of. I like to cook good food, but not food to feed the Queen.

I want the recipies to list serving size and calories and carb content.

I've found several recipies on line through atkins and other forums and I just don't care for them or they have 30 ingredients.

Anyone has cookbooks with what I'm looking for.

My favorite LC book is 500 Low-Carb Recipes. It doesn't have the calorie count, but it does give carb and fiber counts. For calories and what not I use fitday to figure the recipe then stick it in custom foods. One of the resons I like it so much is she doesn't use a ton of fancy ingredients like many other books I've found do, and it is also huge with only a reasonable dessert section, while most others focus on desserts only. I have about 6-7 LC cookbooks, and her's is the only one that gets used a lot.

Also do online searches. I use this forum's recipe section as well as www.lowcarbluxury.com

Honestly, I have about a dozen low carb cook books that make better kindling than recipes. Finding recipes online has been a godsend for me. They usually come from everyday people with simple tastes. Try doing a search in Yahoo for low carb recipes. Most of them are delicious, easy to make and suited to the tastes of the "commoners". LOL.

My Atkins cookbook was sealed in a bundle with a carb-counter when I bought it, and I found out why... barely any "real" recipes... out of the whole book, I use about 6 or so.

I have much better luck in the recipe forum, or on lowcarbluxury.com
