Default bumps on legs from exercising???

I have a problem. Because I weigh so much, when I exercise my inner thigs rub together and cause these painful bumps. Do any of y'all get them? If so, what can be done about them (yes, I know..... LOSE WEIGHT!!!!)???

What do you wear to exercise? While spandex may be intimidating, getting a pair of biking shorts can help prevent skin to skin contact as well as absorbe some of the excess sweat. If you go to a gym and don't want to wear something that tight, throw a looser pair of shorts made out of a very light material over them. It feels a little bulky until you get used to it, but it means not showing each bulge

Hi MrsTU,

I know exactly what you are talking about. When I first started exercising, I use to get these little red bumps that would break out all over my legs. To make matter worse, they used to itch like crazy. I found myself scratching these little bumps to where it always hurt.

However, no one could seem to tell me what they were. As of lately, about a month or two into exercising they subsided. I don't know what happened, if my body just got use to me exercising or what??? Never could figure it out. I just thought it was so peculiar that they appeared when I was exercising!

As far as what to be done, I don't know, but you tell you to keep at the exercising and maybe over time they will disappear.

P.S. I use to wear very light clothing and they would still appear.

I get them after exercising and after shaving as well.

Its basically irritation to your pores.

Fix, keep the area dry (powder), and to reduce irritation you will have to wear something that wisks sweat away like spandex, or a poly knit sweat pants
