Default I have strayed

Hi everyone - I just returned from vacation and have put on about 8 lbs. - I didn't exercise at all either while away. The food wasn't the problem because we were at the cottage, however, I did have a couple of buns, but nothing critical - it was the alcohol intake for sure. So today, I'm resuming my 3x workouts at Curves, brought my brie cheese, salad, steak, coffee w/ heavy cream, etc. and am back on track. I'm not going to beat myself up, because, hey, it was holiday time!

Thanks for letting me share.

The same thing happened to me when I went to Japan, three or four pounds of it will be water weight and will come off in the first couple of days of being back on the wagon.

Brie is a very creamy and mild cheese - no bite at all and is very high in fat - probably my favorite.

It was funny, over the weekend, I was wondering whether to get back to Atkins, or try something else, like the southbeach diet -- but I figured, why try to fix what's not broken - this WOL works and is so easy to follow. I'm so looking forward to feeling better.

If you're lucky, all 8 lbs of it is water -- alcohol is bad that way. I gained 8 lbs on my honeymoon cruise by eating mega calories, having dessert every day, and drinking too much. When I stepped on the scale, I figured for sure that at least 2-3 lbs of that was actual fat, but every ounce of it was gone within a week, so I know it was all water/glycogen stores. I gained some inches too, since that much water takes up some volume, but lost them as well. Here's hoping the same happens to you!
