Question natural occuring sugar--tomatoes

I have some Classico tomato and basil sauce. It has no added sugar or corn syrup etc.
The total carbs per half cup are 11G. The fiber is 2G. The sugars are 6G. I understand the sugars are coming from the tomato.
Are the net carbs 9G, by subtracting the fiber only? or 3G, by subtracting those sugars too??
Thanks!

Only subtract the fiber. You have to count sugars when they come from fruit (tomato is a fruit). You have to ocunt all sugars in fact except for sugar alcohols. Some people have a sensativity though and have to count those as well (don't worry about them unless you are eating LC items like chocolates)

You might want to be careful, tomatos have been known to knock some people out of ketosis

Oh my.........out of ketosis? I have been eating tomatoes nearly every day and it hasn't affected me that way.....course I do count all the carbs and I use them sparingly.
