Default Psyllium Husk powder vs fiber tabs

HI! I was wondering if there are any of you out there who have had different sucess with the powder vs the pills. I have been doing the pills (off brand from Walmart) for 1.5 weeks now and am still not seeing any benefit. Thanks!

I do better with the husks or powder, I find the pills can wind up acting more like a plug ( i.e. don't mix with your bowel contents as well) especially if don't drink enough water with the pills. I use the pills just when I'm traveling.

I have been taking the capsules since the beginning and have had no problems with them at all.

Default What about Citrucel?

Does anyone know anything about Citrucel? It's what my Dr said to use for my IBS before I was doing Atkins. Anyone know if Atkins can help with IBS?

Since starting Atkins I've had diarrhea almost every day since starting induction on Monday, actually yesterday was the first day without, though it felt like was going to. I'm taking two every evening, starting the day before yesterday, perhaps that's why I felt beter yesterday. According to fitday.com I got only 5 grams of fiber.

Anyway, how much fiber does a Citrucel capsule equal to?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Sherrie... I messed up my system a long time ago.. I was sick with an eating disorder for many many years. My doc has me doing the fiber pills with my vits and stool softener and an additional tablespoon of the husk in my morning keto shake and LOTS of fluid...1x a day i treat myself to a tablespoon of reallemon juice and a spleda packet. vit C helps....To all.. Keep on keep'en on...
PEACE
