Default How do you guys know your exact numbers?

All over this board, people talk about losing 3, 7, 22, whatever pounds. I am curious how such exact numbers come from. My morning weigh-in has a variance of around five pounds, from water weight of course, on a daily basis. Are the people who give those numbers just taking an average or something? Or perhaps they tend to be more steady that I, in terms of weight.

I'm guessing most people do what I used to do on WW - only discuss their weight as of their weekly weigh in. I only count weightloss (or gain ) if it shows on a monday morning. I do hop on and off the scales a lot during the week, but the only one that really counts is the monday one.

Cool

I won't speak for everybody, but I record the weight I am as the one I see first thing in the morning, before drinking or eating anything. Yes, through the day my weight goes up and down a few lbs, but I think most just pick one time of day and report that. YMMV.

I do a monthly weigh-in at Curves (in the morning), and that is the only time I change my stats. I occasionally jump on the scale at my mom's (I threw mine in the TRASH), but I take it with a grain of salt.
