Default Atkins bars

My baby woke up again at about 5, and by 6 I was hungey, but not wanting to get out of bed. I ate a morning start bar to tide me over and jump start my metabolism.

Reading the back of the lable though I was suprised to learn that one bar has 25% daily value of sodium. Not good for those wanting to watch sodium intake. Also when I fed it into fitday the calorie breakdown wasn't that great carb vrs protien/fat wise.

I think I'll save them for special treats from now on.

On a side note I made pancakes (LC) for the family today. The kid wouldn't even touch them because they looked different, but s/o ate them and loved them. I adapted them from a recipe someone had posted on these boreds.

Recipe:

2 scoops Protien Shake (I used Atkins, there are lower carb ones out there though)
2 eggs
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp melted butter
1/4-1/2 cp ground flax seeds
Water to get right consistancy.

They tasted alot like buckwheat pancakes and the flax seeds gave them more texture, not to mention a ton of Omega-3

Ack, sorry. It wasn't Sodium that was 25%, it was saturated Fat. That was what would be bad for people watching thier sat fat intake
