Default question about weight lost

i was just wondering, once the majority of weight has been lost, if one has a *significant* amount to lose, are we left with 'loose' skin? i have quite a tummy from both my weight and leftover from my pregnancy (3 years ago!). i'm worried about my tummy being 'icky' still. i work out and lift weights 5 days a week - i figure this will help. i just hear stories about people losing alot of weight and then having to have surgery for tummy tucks.

anyone?

It varies from person to person. A lot depends on your age, how long you were overweight and how quickly you lose the weight. I have read that it takes at least a year after you fully lose the weight for your skin to fully adjust to the extent it is going to adjust. I figure stretch marks and loose skin is a battle I will worry about AFTER I lose the weight.

Do a search of "loose skin" in this forum or "tummy tuck" and you may find some interesting reading.
