Question Bratwurst!

I asume that Bratwurst would be a low carb. Anyone know how much? I have looked in my book and it is not listed!

I happened to have a package of Johnsonville Cheddar Bratwurst in the fridge; they're 2 grams of carb per link. I believe that the plain ones have 1 gram each.
You may be able to find some that are fresh and made without sugars that are 0 carbs each, but ask what's in them if there isn't any nutritional information on the package.

A wonderful low carb meal is 1 bratwurst and 1 cup of sauerkraut! I like a TBS of mayo with that too. mmmmm... YUM!

The damage for this combo is 9 grams of carbs with 4 of those being dietary fiber (for a net of 5 carbs), calories of 459, protein of 17 grams and fat works out to be 80% of the total. Kind of a perfect low carb meal if it were not for all the salt involved.... but it is worth it!

I bought a package of the Johnsonville Bratwurst. I cooked it and was ready to have some for dinner when I noticed that it had corn syrup listed as an ingredient. I'm trying to stick to this faithfully so gave it to the dogs and had something else. So now I hear it's okay. I'm so confused at this point. The dogs are thrilled - but I'm confused.

But I am so thankful for this forum and for all who post. It seems that everytime I log in - there are topics that I also wanted answers or support for.

I think (my opinion only) that a speck of corn syrup in a large bratwurst shouldn't be a problem if you are out of induction. Do try limiting yourself to 1 a day or every few days, though. After all one whole Brat has the same carbs as a cup of decaf or 1 splenda packet.
If you are really concerned, try it and monitor yourself with Keto sticks. Or use them on your dog!

II've been watching everything I eat - and have been going by the book. And, it seems I'm one of those people it really doesn't work as well on.
I haven't lost very much - my clothes feel tighter, not looser. The Keto sticks don't work for me (or I'm not in Ketosis). I didn't try them on the dogs - and probably won't.

I'm on several medications though that were mentioned in the "might slow you down" category - and I have a fatty liver.

I guess I'm going to have some Bratwurst. Thank you.
