Default Low Carb Book Review Area?

Hi There,

I was wondering if it would be possible to add an area in the products forum specifically for reviews of low carb books. I often run across a new book in someone's journal ("Thin for Good" in Doreen's journal is a good, recent example) and think it would be great if we had somewhere central to make reading suggestions for each other (or warn each other about books that are a waste of money). I have a large post in my journal that runs down all of the recipes I've tried from 500 Low Carb Recipes and what I thought of them, but this only helps the people who read my journal. I'd love to be able to share this kind of info and find out what others think before I buy books (of course, Karen's cookbook will be a no-brainer )

Thanks for considering it,

xo Dig

Hi Dig!

This was brought up a little while ago in another thread . I suggested the Plan Comparison Forum as a logical place. I know that there is not much room for more forums and have to be very active to exist as a forum. Perhaps the name of the forum could be changed if the webmaster and administrator thinks it's appropriate. Something like Plan Comparisons & Book Reviews?

Thanks Karen,

I had it in the back of my mind that the Plan Comparison area might seem like a natural spot, but so many of the books are cookbooks or just general surveys of low-carbing that I didn't really think that would make sense. Your suggestion to change the name of the forum is a terrific one. It would clearly indicate that book info is contained within.

Thanks and when's the cookbook coming out?

Oh, early next year and hopefully in time for all of those that have made weight loss a New Year's resolution.
