Question Can I trouble you for some Help??

I've been on this WOE since Jan 2, 03 and have had great success. I allowed myself an "Easter cheat" (cherries jubilee among a few other treats.) My problem is, I cant seem to get back into ketosis, (although my carbs are easily below 40) and am in a funky stall (no loss of lbs or inches for 4 wks.) I'm drinking my water and working out like a fiend....Should I go back on induction? Just hang in there as is? Yesterdays menu is below, any advice would be greatly appreciated........

1c decaf tea w/splenda & 1tsp cream
1lc tortilla w/3 oz cheddar

large salad w/bacon, black olives, mushrooms, tomato, mixed greens
1 diet coke w/lime

4oz LC meatloaf
bunch of broccoli w/butter
1sf jello w/strawberries and cream
1c decaf coffee w/splenda & 2tsp cream

Thanks a bunch for the help!!!! CKH
Oh yes, for my Texas friends, Albertsons has La Tortillia as a buy one get one free special......Just thought you'd want to know!!!

Thumbs up

I had to go into Induction - 20 carbs or less - menu for a few days to kick myself back into ketosis....so this would be my suggestion. Once you get there I would go to OWL and keep carbs under 30. Good luck.

I agree. Go back to induction levels of carbs to help flush out your system again. Your menu looks very low calorie as well. Maybe you should kick up the fat a bit.

I'm a novice at this, but I hear the sweetner in Diet Coke can mess people up. The same sweetner is in SF Jello (the brand Jello). Just a thought!

I agree I think you should go back on induction. I cheated for easier but I'm continuing on induction and I haven't stalled. I also recommend avoiding the Diet Pepsi and the SF jello. They have aspartame and that is knowned to stall people.

HTH,

K

keep it simple... knock off all the commercial made products (like tortillas, splenda, and coke) and go back to induction basics. I personally never find myself in ketosis, and I still lose. But if you really want to feel that you're doing it "right", then make an effort to keep away from those commercial products. From what I can tell, you're eating way too much of it. I rarely use splenda, or drink diet coke (leave it for the weekend). I find these cause me to stall. Also, try to get your fat from other sources besides cream. Cream is still dairy. Why not add some olive oil to your daily meals...
