Default Childhood obesity: could drugs help?

I found this article quite alarming - I do feel that drugs should most definitely be a last resort. With all that I have learnt about low carbing, it seems to me that this really is the answer to so many of our modern ills rather than pill popping etc.

A “skinny pill” for overweight children is creating a furore in the US at the moment, but could diet drugs soon join Ritalin and Prozac as cures for modern ills on both sides of the Atlantic?

I fully agree. People need to address the cause of this epidemic, not camouflage the symptoms with potentially dangerous drugs.

Of course, pills are easy, and more importantly, they have a huge profit potential. There isn't much money to be made in prevention, and indeed there is a lot of money to be LOST in cutting down on carbs.

No wonder no one is getting the message
