Default I must have been outta my mind!

I've been playing around in the fitday.com site with an estimate of what I used to eat on a "normal" day before I started Atkins. Seeing the number of carbs and calories mixed with all the sugary and high fat foods I was taking in makes me wonder why I am still alive! Talk about on your way to an early grave!

I put in a comparison of what I eat now, on Atkins and I cannot believe the difference. Thank goodness I found this when I did, otherwise, I doubt I would have lived too much longer.

I need an emoticon with hair standing on end. What a wakeup call seeing that was! I'm still scared! LOL!

I know how you feel.......I too did that in the beginning of Atkins and said to myself - never again! I had exactly the same thoughts as you - how could I stay alive on high carb diet?

So - way to go.......good luck to you!

I sure understand that. I don't know why I didn't weigh even more than I did. I was shocked at the carb count and the calories were terrible too. I was eating more than a linebacker in the NFL. I feel better now!

I tried to sit down and estimate how many carbs I would eat in a day... and it shocked me. Down from so many to like 20 is a large decrease. But it's all for the better!

The same thing happened to me when I read DANDR. I starting adding up carbs from a typical low fat day...and when I got to 400 I was amazed.
