Angry atkins and weight gain

Have been doing Atkins and have been having 3 tablespoons cream daily in decaff tea and coffee plus 30g cheese as I thought this was allowed. But Have put on instead of reducing. My waistline has gone down though

Hi there! Chances are that since you only have a few pounds to lose what you're experiencing is perfectly normal. This isn't one of those die-today-to-take-it-off-then-put-it-back-on-next-week kind of eating plans, this is changing your eating habits for a healthy rest of your life.

You may be putting on muscle due to the body now being able to repair itself with all that lovely protein I presume you're eating but losing fat - hence the slimmer waistline. You don't have much to lose. I'd trust the tape measure not the scales if I were you!

Don't weigh yourself for the next month. Take your measurements every few days and write them down. Also take note of how your clothes are fitting you - those are the only things that matter.
