I e-mailed the Atkins website asking what kinds of medications will cause weight loss to slow down (I am on Lipitor for cholestrol) - here is their response.

Virtually all medications will inhibit weight loss. The most incompatible medications are:

1) Diuretics (water pills).
2) Psychotropic drugs, including prozac, zoloft, lithium, etc.
3) Hormones and steroids, including estrogen (premarin), birth control pills and prednisone.
4) Arthritic drugs, especially NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs).
5) Cholesterol-lowering drugs.
6) All anti-diabetic medications, including insulin with the exception of glucophage.
7) Tranquilizers.
8) Seizure medications.

I changed to this WOL in January and although I've been slower (due to my own fault) I am now back 100% and am going to ask the doc to take me of Lipitor (my cholestrol is the best it's every been according to my last check a month ago) and hopefully just stick with Borage Oil (natural).
