Default Seeds?????

Hi

I am currently on the second week of induction, I am slightly confused as the Atkins site says that you should not eat sunflower seeds on induction, however some of the forums and other low carb sites I have read say that you can,

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Rudders

Stick to the book. In the latest edition Atkins does say if you continue induciton level carbs mroe then 2 weeks, then you can add in some nuts and seeds. For the first two weeks try to keep ti as clean as possible. Sunflower seeds aren't just carby, if you get the shelled kind in a packet, they are extreamly high calorie.

People react differently to different foods. Some can eat seeds with no problem, while others can't go near nuts. It's like the candy or bars. Some people have no problems while others cna't go near them. Listen to your body and find out what works for you insteadof what people on forums say works for them.

I agree w/Ladybelle - - stick to the acceptable food list in the Atkins book (or website) and don't stray. Seeds and nuts stall many...plus they are high in calories (for those of us who need to watch that too)....and lets face it...I always used to go over the 1 oz portion...and those carbs can add up quite quickly.
