Default Questions about exercise and atkins

Is it true you should wait until after induction to exercise? What if you were exercising before atkins?

And is it true that weight training knocks you out of ketosis? (i heard it has something to do with glucose)

First question:

Some recommend you slow down on your exercise program for the first couple of weeks to allow your body to adapt to it's new fuel source without over taxing it. You can try to maintain your normal routine but if you start feeling fatigued you may want to slow down until your body adapts. Everyone is different in this regard so only you can be the judge.

Second question:
Weight training doesn't knock you out of ketosis. However *IF* you are measuring ketosis by those annoying little ketostrips you might get a surprise at them showing you are out of ketosis even though you aren't. You see the test strips measure how many ketones are in your urine, however if you are exercising and your body is using those ketones for fuel, there won't be any to pass through your urine, so you get a false reading.

Hope that information helped
