Default Trying Again

Well here I am, I am new to this site and today Is the first day of my induction diet for the third time. I have done this two other times and regained all and more weight back. I am not afraid I can't take off the weight, I am afraid I will fail again after I have taken it off. I have high blood pressure and high Colesterol. I am so disapointed in my self, but I am commited to try again. I do have one question. What do you all do when you get sick. When you have the flu or a bad cold it is very hard to eat high protein foods. I just want comfort foods which are all full of carbs. The last two times I have failed I have gotten sick and blamed it on the diet lack of fruits and vitamin c. Any encouragement anyone can give me will be appreciated.

Welcome back Tanna...Do you remember what it felt like to be 150 a few years back? My main motivation was to feel like that again, for one reason and that was...I deserve it~ I deserve to not be a slave to food, I deserve to have the energy and self confidence that I know that I posess deep inside because i`m a good person hiding under pounds of unwanted flesh. I`m sure you`re a wonderful person who needs to not be so hard on herself and who should give herself a chance to start fresh..what do you say fellow atkin friend?

try drinking broth when sick. there are lots of substitutes you can use for comfort foods. if you want mashed potatoes eat mashed cauliflower instead. if you want ice cream at least get ice cream such as SLENDER with splenda it tastes like the real thing but only has about 8 net carbs (my kids eat it so you know it passes the test). there are many soups you can make with a base using cream instead of milk etc. at least this way if you over do it - it wont be as bad eating pure sugar and pure starches.

if you just cant eat or get low carb subs then eat what you must to get thru the illness and go back to induction right away but do not give up. if you tried this diet before and you know it works why would you want to give up now.

dont forget to take your vitamins and supplements- these are important.

but dont give up.
