Smile Excel journal

If you use, but don't write MS Excel, you may be intersted in the following:

I like to record my weight at uneven intervals. Sometimes because I forget to weigh, it's inconvenient to weigh, or I want different information. While I'm at beginning induction, I want nearly daily information [while I learn]. Later if I presume things go well, I'm better off with one weigh-in each week. Even then, I might forget to weigh EXACTL in one week. Anyhow, I have a VBA program operating MS Excel which does the following:

one command button enters the current day--you can manually enter other dates.

After date, manually enter weight [I'm using eights of a pound]. Another command buttion calculates:

weight change since last entry
average daily weight change since the last entry
weight change since initial weight in chart
average weight change since initial date

A couple of buttons gives me the info I want.

Anybody interesting in having a copy would be welcome[free]--it can be sent as an attachment to e-mail. Of course, you'd have to
have Excel on your system.

I'd love a copy. I get obsessive about weighing (which is bad, I know) but never know what to really take seriously due to fluctuations, etc. This seems like it would even that out to a reasonable degree.

THANKS!!!

I'd be most grateful to receive a copy too - at the moment I'm doing a chart 'by hand'. I've sent this request on the board rather than by e-mail as I've just changed my stats and want to see it 'on screen' hazel.rhodes~free.fr

Talking Graph

I don't mean to be presumptious, but we all know some things and not others. If you get the Excel weight calculation working it's really easy and neat to get it to graph the results. IF you don't know how, Id be only to happy to give instructions. [ I was 45 years in college classrooms---it's hard to get out of the habit]'

Bob,

The spreadsheet would be excellent. Can you not post it as an attachment. It would save you have to send an email to everyone that requests it, as we could just open it and save.

Also I would prefer not to give out my email (its a work one).

Tks
