Wink Please help with label reading...

I have a question regarding label reading to make it clear. I have lost 85 lbs since last summer but am at a stand still right now. When you look at the Total Carbs on the label, should I be concentrating on the Total Carbs or just the Dietary Fiber and Sugars?

I have always done my own thing but a friend of mine wanted to know and I am not sure.

The total carb count includes fiber, but your body can't digest it. So, you can subtract it from the total because it just passes through your body. This is known as "effective" carbs, a.k.a. the carbs from sugar and starch that your body *does* use.
