I'm Charleen and I live in Upper Hutt, New Zealand (Wellington) I moved here from Washington State almost 2 years ago. I moved here skinny and after having a baby last year I've gained a lot of weight. I'm hoping that I could find an Atkins Buddy. Someone who would like to exchange stories and ideas. I will be starting Atkins right after Easter just so I can have my last CHOCOLATE in-take. I started WW in early January...what a waste of money!! It was so expensive and it was something that we couldn't afford. After watching the Atkins documentary they had on t.v. here about a week ago I went out and bought the book. I'm quite confident that this will work. Am so keen to give it a try. I'm 71.5 kilos and 32 years old. Before I go I hope that New Zealand will start to introduce more low carb/high protein products. This is a great forum and I really enjoy seeing how people progress into their woe and wol

Hi Charleen.....YEHH, another Kiwi....welcome. (I'm from Warkworth, 1 hour North of Auckland)...NOT a JAFFA!!!!

I saw that program too, could hardly hear the words though cos of the stupid music,.... and wondered if it might motivate a few to try Atkins. Unfortunatly the pathetic creature featured as the Guinea Pig, was just that, really pathetic! You are lucky to have found this forum so early on in your "journey", its really fantastic, lovely people, heaps of support, and more info than you can shake a stick at!!!
