Question Total Carbs..?

I don't understand. I picked up a container of "Instant Soup In A Cup" and read the following.

Total Carbs..... 38g

Dietary Fiber.. 2g

Sugars............ 2g

Let's see now.. Hmmm.. Two (2) g's fiber plus two (2) g's sugars. My high school math tells me that this equals a total of 4g's. So.. O.K. Where did the other 30 plus g's disappear to? I can't believe they vanished as they were being spooned from the cup to mouth!

Hi there,

The other carbs would be starches. Nearly as bad at raising blood sugar as sugar. I hope you put the container down once you saw the 38g!

Default Total Carbs..

Hi Rosebud..

Yep, I sure did put it down.. faster than if I had the proverbable "Hot Potato" in hand!

So far on Atkins, (which I started on 01/01/2004) I've lost 7.6 lbs.

Thursday to Friday.. 4.8 lbs.

Friday to Saturday 2.8 lbs.
