Hi again,

I was wondering if maybe some of you could take a look at a day's worth of my menu and see if I am doing something wrong. I seem to be stalled. I have not lost inches or pounds in about 2 months. I have noticed that my rings are fallin off tho, so I don't know if that means anything or not. I've tried FitDay but I get confused because I can't find any low carb stuff listed in the foods. I'd really appreciate it.

Breakfast : 2-3 scrambled eggs, 2 strips of bacon, decaf coffee
w/ 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 2 splenda's.

Lunch: Ground turkey patty w/ bell pepper and onion, 1/2
cup green beans cooked in butter, 4 to 6 ounces Diet
Riet

Snack: 4 tablespoons of Reddi Whip / Dr. Atkins protein shake
(i use less than suggested in a serving tho, I find it too
sweet)

Supper: 1/2 can of tuna, 1 cup lettuce, 2 tablespoons mayo,
some pork cracklins

Snack: small bowl of Low Carb oatmeal (i get about 1.5 carbs
here)

I do change up the lunch and supper sometimes but the breakfast and snacks I do everyday. If anyone had advice or suggestions I'd really apprecaite it.

Thanks,
DD

Sounds like you're being pretty strict to me. Maybe try cutting out the shake and the LC oatmeal? Lotsa folks say that they'll stall you. Others have tried going on a meat fast or a fat fast for a few days (sounds really disgusting to me, but hey, whatever works.)

Are you still in induction or have you moved beyond that? If you are in induction then you need to get rid of the pop, the shake, the reddi whip and the oatmeal.

Otherwise, if you have moved on from induction, that doesn't seem like a big deal. I was recently stalling and I dropped my calories for a few days and that has seemed to help (I just quit eating as much really -- smaller portions).

What is your fat % at? I am wondering with the turkey burger and tuna if you are a bit low?

I was running your items in fitday (guessing at amounts of some items) and the only thing I can up with that can help is to try getting more fats into your meal plans. The breakfast is fine, this is actually the best meal you have going for you. For snack one, try instead of Reddi whip using heavy cream. 3oz with 1/2 scoup of atkins mix (1 splenda depending on how sweet you like it) will keep the fat count up. This makes a nice thick moouse. I have never found the low carb oatmeal (but my DH wished I did) so I don't know where that stands. Even 11 macadamia will help keep your fat count up.

I've been doin Atkins for 3 months but I am still in Induction. We can't have the soda made w/ Splenda? How about Crystal Clear Flavored Water w/ Splenda? I've been drinking them both all along. I'm not sure what % of my meal is from fat. I tried doin FitDay but can't seem to get it to work for me. I tried it and seemed the % of Fat was greatest, then protein, then carbs...I'll definaly try all the suggestions tho. Thanks a lot for your replies, it really helps me to want to figure this out and stick to the diet.

Some people have problems with the soda, some don't. Did your stall start happening when you started drinking it?

If you are still on induction I would at least cut our the shakes and oatmeal and maybe only have the reddiwhip (actually I would agree with MarytoYou that you should whip up some real 35% whipping cream instead, it doesn't even need sugar) but only eat this once a week or so. Increase your fat for a week or so and see if anything happens.

Why isn't fitday working for you? You should be getting 60-70% (around there) fat everyday and fitday is a great way to make sure that you are.
