Question Cycles, Carbs, Curiosity

I've been low carbing for over a year. I only have one problem with my low carbing and that's my cycle (TOM). I would skip a month or two and be very moody. My doctor suggested to me that I eat more carbs for it could be why I'm not regular (at all!).
So with careful journal tracking for a month I was low carb and on week 3 I had two days of eating about 40-50g of carbs (no sugar, no caffeine). And for two months my cycle was on target but was um.. light. So my doctor added carbs at the beginning of week 2 (Same like before) basically when I am to ovulate.
And sure enough, my cycles became regular again. In a nutshell, I would have 2 moderate carb days at the beginning of week 2
and 2 moderate carb days at the end of week 3.

Isn't this odd? Not only has my cycles become regular but I lost 18 lbs since July 1st.
Has anyone else had similar results?

I haven' t experienced this but I have PCOS and I can tell you that carbs dramtically effect the cycle. Many, many women with PCOS low carb and usually find that they get periods again or start to ovulate ( one of the symptoms of PCOS is lack of periods). I got a period for the first time in six months for example a few days after I started CAD. So, it make sintuitive sense to me that if you have healthy normal cycles, this effect would be polarised.

Hope this helps. Sorry I'm the opposite of your situation!
