Unhappy Surgery over, now do induction again??

Hello everyone, I am back after almost a week of dry toast and jello! Would love to say that I lost a bunch of weight, but still have fluid I guess. Anyhow, I'm feeling great, up and around and ready to start again at the top. But I remember someone posting that I should keep my carbs up at least 100 per day while recovering and I just wanted to get back and discuss this. I'll talk to the doctor on Monday also, but I was wondering how I could go about getting back on track without hindering healing.

I'm up almost to where I started, so I may as well start over. The thing that I didn't want to do is get my body into another mode of eating so that it took time to adjust to lo-carbing again. I think I'm okay here...had bacon and eggs for breakfast yesterday with butter, etc.

Anyone have an experience with this? I NEED to get back to the LOSING frame of mind!

Donna

You don't really need to go through induction again.

During those two weeks of induction the first time you should have learned what you can and can not eat. Therefore, start eating correctly

You know the drill....20 carbs a day, no sugar, pasta, rice, potatos. Eat fresh veggies, and meats. Keep the fat intake up.

You should do just fine.
