Default Growing nails

I have never had good nails. They always broke/split when they got any length. NOW its a different story... they are great, I love my nails. They are a nice length and very strong. What causes this change? Is it due to the food I am eating now or is it the vitamins I am taking, especially the calcium? Just wondering.....

I imagine it would be the adequate protein you are now consuming, and perhaps the extra dietary fats. Other good side effects are clear skin, and fast growing hair.

Someone else can probably elaborate.

Thumbs up

My nails are GREAT! Like you, mine were always weak and split very easily. Now they are strong and healthy. So many people think they're acrylic. Nope, not a drop of acrylic on these babies! I owe it all to lc!!!

Ya know, I noticed that my skin and hair were both looking great(always had problems with dry skin) anyway I NEVER put 2 and 2 together, I thought it must be the extra water, but the extra protein is probably helping too!

Talking Dragon Lady Nails here too!

Long, healthy nails are one of the pleasant surprises of low carbing. [Click click clicking away at my keyboard now! ] When I was a low-fat-starver, my nails were brittle and they had these really weird grooves in them...not to mention the dried out and painful cuticles. Eating fats and adequate protein on a daily basis plus drinking buckets of water has helped to strengthen my nails, hair and body.
