Default Workout Question

Well, I saw the recent episode of Oprah the other day, and I went to her site to check out the routine. Well, she wants ya to work out 8 times a week. I was wondering if that's a bit too much, especially if you're actually lifting heavy.

Also, I am going to do HIIT 2 times per week, and do about 15 minutes on the treadmill when I get home after I lift at the gym. Will this little 5 minute trip from the gym home make a difference in my fat-burning capacity??? I really don't want to over-train in the cardio department, but I'm not working, and basically sitting on my butt all day, and I feel like an extra moderate walk in the afternoon would do my body good. Any suggestions??? Oh, and I'm lifting 4 days a week, as well...

Thanks for your help...

Jennifer
