Default Is this a weird phenom or just my imagination?

If anyone recalls I had trouble getting this weight loss thing started. I was faithful without cheating for WEEKS without seeing the scale move.

I cheated one weekend about a month ago - got right back on the LC thing right away after the weekend and after THAT I noticed a small but noticable change in the scale.

Then, I had another cheat weekend last weekend and now-not even a week later Im seeing another small change on the scale.

Dont want to put TOO much faith in this or I might talk myself into cheating more LOL!! But-has anyone else had this or understand WHY it happened??

thanks, L

I'm not too sure, but I remember some threads about this a while back that sometimes a lil carb breakout can give your body a bit of a jumpstart on weightloss. I don't know exactly the details, but I'm sure someone else can explain it much better than I can.

I wouldn't give much for this. When you eat carbs it makes you retain water...then you go back to LC and the water goes.....maybe a little more so you think you have lost weight. This is just a shock to your body....

Go for the LC way, it works. Not with light speed, but it does.

Good luck

Alina

That's kinda what I was thinking. It had to do something with the carbs probably making you retain water, and then when you went back to LC you lost that water weight. See, I knew there was someone who could explain it better then I could!

Hey .... what did you eat when you cheated... flour and sugar stuff or just higher carbs??

Also have you been keeping up with your upped fat content??

You also haven't changed your stats... what is it down to... small amounts or a few pounds..

I am glad you are still here.

Maybe the increased calories are what you need to get losing.

Yep I agree with Alina, this subject pops up every now and then, her theory is right.
