Default Well, that's it. No more bread for me!

Having been away camping for the weekend, I ate some bread. Not much! 1 very small roll at lunch and one at dinner. oh BOY! did I get bad stomach cramps that evening. I wasn't sure if it was the bread or not so the next day I tested it. I had a roll at lunch and within minutes bam! the cramps were back. I can eat wholemeal but not white. There was another girl there who is on Atkins - she's lost about 70lb - and she just nodded sagely and said aaah yes, it's the bread.

That's one way to keep me off it!

You would think so, but yet........

It's not just bread, I have found from dieting in the past, that if I am avoiding fats then I ate some it had the same effect. Maybe you body gets use to an eating style, and rebels when something different gets thrown back in?

So far it's only the white bread that's had that effect. I seriously can't have that pain again just for the sake of a bit of white bread. It hurt a lot! Bread I can live without, thankfully.
