Question Atkins & Exercise?

Hi out there in LC land!

I am very new to this LC thing. I started Atkins a few weeks ago, but never stuck to the complete Induction Routine because three days into it I had a 60 mile bike ride planned. I was feeling so sick the night before, I knew I wouldn't make the ride without some carbs. So I had some fruit and a power bar and made it throught the ride. Tried adding some carbs last week, but this past Sunday I went on a longer ride with a long hill climb and my legs just gave out on me. I had to walk part way. Given my current level of fitness I should not have had to do that.

I have since decided that maybe a modified Atkins or Zone Diet plan might be better for me. I am just confused about how much carbs I should be consuming before, during, after a good workout.

Anybody have input on LC plans other than Atkins? Or any suggestions on determining how many carbs I should consume if I am very active and still want to lose weight.?

Thanks!
