Hey all,
Here's a recipe for beef and broccoli that is FABULOUS. (Not just cuz it's mine... but because it's true.)
You can also try this same technique for chicken and/or stringbeans. I've done this with snow peas... and it was INCREDIBLE... but I found out peas aren't allowed on induction... so be careful Newbies!
------------------
Meat: 2/3 lb flank steak
Marinade: 1 tsp rice wine or dry cooking sherry
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
a tiny pinch of Splenda
Stir Fry: 3 cups broccoli florets
3 tbsp chicken broth
7 tbsp vegatable oil
1 crushed garlic clove (or 1/2 tsp jarred garlic)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
STEP BY STEP:
1. Slice Beef against grain into thin strips
2. Mix marinade ingredients in bowl
3. Add beef to marinade, mix well
4. Marinade for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. (I put it in the fridge overnite)
5. Cut broccoli florets into small pieces.
6. Heat vegatable oil in wok for a minute or two
7. Stir fry beef until light brown
8. Remove beef and DRAIN everything back into the wok!!
9. Stir fry garlic for 30 seconds
10. Add Broccoli
11. Stir fry broccoli for 5 minutes
12. Add salt, soy sauce, broth and pepper
13. stir fry for 3-5 minutes so some of the water from broth cooks off
14. add cooked beef and mix well
15. after a minute or two, remove and serve
