Default Does seltzer count as water?

Im having a tough time with just plain old water all the time and I can't stand fake sweeteners. Was wondering if seltzer water would count towards my 8 - 8oz glasses per day?

Thanks

I believe that is acceptable per the DANDR. He says either still water or sparkling. Just make sure there is no sugar added.

Or sodium which makes you retain water which counteracts the drink...

It says no sodium on the label... just carbonated water.

Just for clarification, in DANDR he says that sparkling water should not be counted in your 8 glasses minimum a day.

But hey, water IS still water, so drink whatever you can!

Thumbs up

I drink seltzer - no sodium - lemon/lime tinged - and to me this is my substitution for "soda" which I don't drink unless there is nothing else to drink (i.e. when socializing). I always counted the seltzer in my "water consumption total".
