Default Yoghurt

I have IBS and I know that I am lactose intolerant. I have been low carbing since last summer and have lost 40lbs so far.

I try to keep my carbs low enough to accomodate the addition of live yoghurt but it is difficult to do so. I have an Easiyo yoghurt maker. But Easiyo no longer make the soy sachets with the live cultures which help me.

Will I be able to take the milk based alternatives and is there any truth in the claim that the cultures destroy some of the carbs?

I think it's something about the culturing or something and the sugar gets "eaten up" in the process. So instead of 16 g it's like 4 g. If you want you can search yogurt in this site and there are lots of threads about it.

Congratulations on losing 40 pounds!!!
