Question Aspartame?

Hi Everyone.
Here's a little background before my question. Yesterday was my 2nd day of Induction. Last night, after debating it all day, I drank a glass (about 10oz) of Diet Tea sweetened with Aspartame. After 5 minutes or so, I felt so sick to my stomach, I couldnt throw up, but did have to run to the bathroom if you know what I mean.

My question...has any of you experienced this "sickness" after a while of not having Aspartame?

And one more....WIll this stop me from being in Ketosis on my 3rd day?

Thanks for your help.
Kristie

I made it to Day 3!

Aspartame doesn't bother me at all. Aspartame also really has no effect on Low Carbing. Dr. Atkins wants people to say away from aspartame because it is simply unhealthy for you.
It will not have any effect on you being in or out of Ketosis. I try to use Splenda as much as possible. But for those times when I'm lazy I'll have sugar free jello made with aspartame or use it with my tea when I eat out.

Thats good to know. I gave up diet cokes in Feb. and lately a nice cold diet coke sounds really good. I might treat myself to one very soon.
