Unhappy I MISS VEGGIES

This Atkins diet sure has helped me drop some pounds, but it has been almost 2 months and I am going CRAZY just eating steak and eggs....ect... I love meat I'm sure way more then the average person that is why this diet appealed to me in the first place, but I am dying for some pizza or even some darn potatoes, or carrots......Although I am seeing great results, I think Im doing something wrong here becasue I dont feel like the Atkins book gave me enough options to continue eating this way.....Any advice ?

Default Eat your veggies!

If you read Atkins you must have skipped the part about veggies, Taz. Your NEED your veggies. You're supposed to be getting 20g on induction and 5 more per week after of GREEN VEGGIES. Its vital to the long term success of this WOL and to your health. Broccoli, cucumber, lettuce, asparagus... take a look at what people are eating under "Journals/bootcamp" for some ideas. Eating just meat and eggs is not Atkins. This is not NO CARBS, its LOW carbs.

Nat is right. No one can continue long-term without veggies. It's not healthy and it's not fun!

If you want menu ideas and recipes, there are plenty on this site - scout around! Low carb shouldn't be boring!
