Default At the Grocery Store

Just thought I'd list a few of my finds at the grocery store. I have found these items to be available fairly readily in my area, and I've gotten all of them at Wal-Mart, so they're fairly common. They help me stick with this WOE, and add some convenience. Those of you that are more purist than me will notice right away that some of these items may not have the oils or ingredients that Protein Power dictates as the best. I don't use these items 'all the time', but they help keep me honest when I'm short on time/long on hunger:

Ken's Steak House Lite Northern Italian Salad Dressing - full, strong flavor, 1 carb per 2 TB. Great as a marinade or on salads.

Vital Wheat Gluten - only 1 carb per TB, and will help make crepes or other breadlike items. It's the 'elastic part' of wheat flour.

Russell Stover Sugarfree Chocolates - I had thought about ordering Ross Chocolates, but I'm always hesitant to get a large amount of something I can't try first. The Russell Stover ones come in small 3.5 oz bags or 7 oz boxes. I am able to stay in ketosis and have a couple of these as a treat from time to time. Watch some of the flavors for carb content - you have to subtract the fiber and the malitol, then see what is left. The chocolate truffle is nice, and I like the french mint and the cocounut. I'd love to try the raspberry, but alas, too many carbs.

SO, does anyone else have products they get at the store that help with this WOE? Let's all post them here!!

Hi, I found some Pure Delights chocolates at wallgreens. Totaly sinfull. Kind of pricey, 1.99 a peace, but very very good. If you like dark, only 1.1 grams of NET carbs per bar.

Hey, you guys, do any of you post/share this information in the members shopping database, the LowCarb Yellow Pages ? That's what our cool webmaster maintains it for, it would be a BIG help if you could spend a couple of minutes and add to the database, then stuff wouldn't got lost in a 'thread' like this one as time passes...

See the link on the upper right side of your screen.

Thanks!
