I Started On January 12 And Lost 12 Pounds Very Quickly And Now This Week It Seems To Have Stopped And It Seems Like I May Be Gaining A Couple Of Pounds. I Would Like To Stay On Induction For A While If I Could Continue To Lose. Has This Happened To Anyone Else? Any Tips Or Suggestions For Jump Starting The Weight Loss? What About The Meat Fast? Has Anyone Tried That And Is It Acceptable For Atkins?

There is nothing wrong with staying on induction. I lost big in my first 2 weeks, then only lost 1lb. I switched up a few things(stopped drinking alcohol), bumped up my water intake and I have lost 4lbs each week since. A lot of people stall. Try to stay away from sugar alcohols and hidden carbs. Make sure you are getting enough calories also. You don't want your body to go into Starvation mode. Good Luck.

Kenjenmo, where do you try to keep your calorie counts at?

Hello Jmaleyz,
after induction the weight loss does slow down a bit, sometimes it stops for some time, doesn't necessarily mean you not losing, i noticed with me that i may not lose weight but my clothes are not as tight, i know i `m losing inches, so try to forget the scales for a bit and measure yourself, i was told that once here and it `s true.
But keep it up, i `m sure you will see results soon.
Best luck
Fatima

I know this is hard to hear....because I was in the same boat but you have to give your body time to adjust. You can't expect to lose weight quicker than you put it on. Your body is going through alot of changes. Keep doing what your doing and everyone will here will help you. Up the water and veggies and see what happens.

Good luck and keep us posted

Heh..don't worry about it too much, I lost 14 the 1st wk then stalled for a week and a half. I WAS still changing my shape though, I could tell from my belt.

I also stalled from those darn sugar alcohols once.

LindyM:

I use Fitday to kinda keep track of calories. I don't count the numbers as totally true but just to get a general idea of where I am at. Fitday is not exact because portions may vary. Its probably close though.
