Default Seattle Advice...

Greetings All...

I need to tap into the font of Wisdom again! I will be traveling to Seattle, Wa next week for some meetings, and it has been a good few years since I have been there. I will be in town Tuesday-Friday, and I will probably have one or two evenings free.

Three questions arise...

1. Can anyone recommend some great low carb lunch and dinner places to try. (I love searood, and casual dress is preferrable)

2. What shouldn't I miss seeing in town

3. Can you get a good cup of coffee in town ? ( OK, There are only two questions !)

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Stephen

There's great food in Seattle. You can't go there without tripping over a good seafood restaurant. Like sushi? Have sashimi at Toyoda.
Same goes for coffee. Starbucks is hq'd there, so is Seattle's Best, and about a dozen other great coffeeshops. They are literally everywhere. I like the local shops that aren't part of a chain. Every neighborhood has one. I was sitting outside having a cup recently and could see three other shops on the same block, all doing good business.

I can't help you with the restaurants there, but doing the Seattle Underground Tour was one of the most enjoyable vacation stops I've experienced. I thought it was very funny.

Have a great time there.

I live about 30 minutes south of Seattle.

Most people who drop into town check out the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, etc., from the 1962 World's Fair. A monorail takes you there from downtown....and back.

Tons to see and do.

Bring an umbrella.
