Default Back at it.

Hey, all. I started Atkins Jan 2003 at 284lbs and stayed pretty much on induction levels until the end of April, and that left me at 210lbs. Then, I...strayed. I didn't go back to eating anywhere near the way I was before I started and I haven't gained a pound of it back until this point, but I decided I would go ahead and make a run for the finish line which is somewhere in the 185-190 range. Anyway, I was never a big coffee drinker until I strayed off Atkins in May, now I can't function without it. Has coffee ever been a big problem in terms of results for anyone? I've read caffeine only causes cravings and that's why you should avoid it and I've read it stalls you. Could anyone clear that up for me?

Wow congrats on the loss!

I, too, strayed and didn't seemingly gain any weight back... but then BOOM I gained like 5 lbs and this was before I'd even reached my original goal. The only thing I'd warn against is that you might be losing muscle mass and replacing it with fat. I think that's what happened to me...as I stopped working out as vigorously.
