Whenever I'm looking to shop online within Canada, I find yahoo.ca has the best directory. For suppliments:

Here in Ontario, you can get them at just about any nutrition store, and even in pharmacies - but they're behind the counter now.

Thanks Kristine

I have called a few stores but they only carry the one without effedra. I don't know the difference between the two or if one is more effective. If any one has any info please let me know.

Ephedra (or its herbal source, ma huang) is the E of ECA. I doubt that you will find it in Canada as I believe it is no longer legal to sell it. (I might be wrong, but I thought it was banned last spring.) The ephedra can cause irregular or racing heart beat in many people and has been linked to heart attack and death in previously healthy people who used it.

Some people get away with using it without harmful effects, but some people have also lived through going over Niagara Falls in a barrel. I wouldn't try either.

It wasn't quite banned, but Health Canada suggested a voluntary recall of some products. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/english/prot...02/2002_01e.htm

I hope they don't ban it. Where caffeine failed me, ephedra was the only thing that kept me going some nights on those lonely midnight shifts in the hospital lab.

From the HC FAQ on ephedrine and the availability of products:

6. Will all products labeled to contain Ephedra/ephedrine be taken off the shelves?
No. Commercial Ephedra/ephedrine products being sold as nasal decongestants and having a dose equal to or under the recommended dosage of 8mg/a dose or 32mg/day will continue to be available. Products containing Ephedra which are marketed for traditional use according to the combinations and dosages described in texts pertaining to traditional medicine, will also continue to be available, provided they do not contain caffeine and that the ephedrine content does not exceed the 8 mg/a dose to a maximum of 32 mg/day.

As well, the recall does not affect Ephedra/ephedrine products that are being dispensed by practitioners who are dispensing/compounding the drug for individual patients.

In other words...no ECA stacks...Here is the entire FAQ

Soulful, as you are new to lowcarbing, why not just try the plan as written in the DANDR? You may be pleasantly surprised at how well low carbing works on its own, without any dangerous drugs.
