Even if the lable says 11 grams, or most say 16g per cup, so what. Many of us here are on OWL and are slowly adding carbs back into our daily lives. 1/2 cup pf yogurt a day for me is much healthier then adding in junk food or franken foods.
I have both yogurt, at least 1/2 cup a day, and kifer which is even lower in carbs. There is a great thread on here, and in the "Go Diet" book which talk about the actual carb count of yogurt. How they derive the number is through actual labratory testing on the pruducts.
For me I count all the carbs. If there is really less, then all the better. Adding yogurt to my diet though adds calcium, benifits good bacteria in the intestines, and tastes great.
As for the low fat vrs high fat. The low fat or non fat are made with skim milk while whole milk yogurt is made with just that. Whole milk yogurt does have slightly less carbs, and goats milk even less. The more important reason many here eat the full fat is Atkins is a high fat diet. He states quite clearly that a low fat version is dangerous and will not result in great weight loss. Plus the whole milk with cream on top just tastes better
I wouldn't try it on induciton, but if you are in OWL, go ahead and try adding 1/2-1 cup of yogurt now and then. Look for a brand that has at least 5 active cultures and no added ingredients. I don't know about blue bunny, though the sweetners and flavors would worry me. Stay away from the Dannon. Good brands include Stoneyfield Farms and Mountain high. Plain unsweetened of course. You can mix with fruit, or I like mixing it with 1 scoop protien shake for a pudding like dish.
