Eggs are fine to have on atkins...Just count your carbs if you are doing induction, and make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and eating your veggies...You may want to check out:
www.atkins.com
You will find a complete list of the foods you can have on induction...Good luck!!

Just be careful not to go over board on your cheese. You can help this by combining the veggies with eggs.

Typical mornings for me include an omlette made with spinach and mayo filling, eggs over zucchini hashbrowns, or eggs over fried cabbage. The veggies add filler to help keep me full (I am a visual type. I like to see and eat more food for the same amount of cals), and add nutrients to the day.

Wait a minute - I am looking at yourprofile - according to your charts, you weigh 120 pounds and are 5'7". 120 pounds is underweight as it is for that height. If you are on Atkins, you should be in maintenance, not induction. Induction can be very dangerous if you have no weight to lose at all, which you don't! You may want to look at maintenance and incorporating a workout routine to tone up if that is your concern, but this could be dangerous at your size.

Justjen, I'm curious, have you been tracking your cholesterol/triglycerides since you've begun?

I have been on Atkins for 14 months now. I eat 2 or 3 eggs virtually every day. I can count on my fingers the number of days I have NOT eaten aggs. I had a check up just last month. My total cholsterol is 204, my LDL is 119, my HDL is 77, and my triglycerides are 37. I slipped up and forgot to fast before the blood test. So, 4 hours before my blood was drawn, I had bacon and eggs for breakfast!!!
