Default About Splenda------

Does anyone know of a "conversion" chart or something that tells you how much Splenda to use in place of sugar. For example: 1/2c sugar= ?Splenda packs.

Holly

Hi Holly,

Each little packet is equivalent in sweetness to 2 teaspoons of sugar. You'll need 24 packets to give the equivalent of 1 cup of sugar.
If you are using the loose Splenda, it is less concentrated than the little packets, and is "spoon for spoon" with sugar, ie, 1 cup loose Splenda equals 1 cup of sugar.

Each cup of the loose Splenda has 24 carbs (0.5 per teaspoon), and each little packet has 1 carb, so you still have 24 carbs per equivalent cup of sugar.

HTH!

Rosebud

I find it a waste of money to buy Splenda loose. You pay for a filler (that has carbs) just for the conviniance of measuring like sugar.
I buy my Splenda at Costco I cant rmember the price, but I remember it is 1/10 the cost of the loose stuff.
Now, if I could find it in liquid...

Thanks, but this is not liquid Splenda. This is a flavorless Syrup made with splenda.

The splenda I was asking about is the pure Sucralose, which is very concentrated, easy to use, and cheap. I believe that this type of splenda is not available to the public, only to manufacturers...
