Default Hello All

I am new to dieting in general. weight has never been an issue with me. I am now 31 and starting to keep the weight i could lose easly when I was younger. I am weak to food. I am not a big sugar eater but pasta and rice are my weakness. Atkins sounds like a terrific diet and I would like to make it a life chance to eating under its rules. I dont know if i will start a journal because i am not a very good writer. Any way i am glad to be here and I will be leaning on you pros for advice and encouragement.

Da Houieboy!!!

Welcome to the forum! We all feel your pain about the weight loss. Age isn't kind to our metabolism. Atkins has been very good to me and my hubby. In 10 weeks we have lost 90 pounds between us. Join us here often. It's a great site!

Hi and welcome!

Rule number one: whatever your weaknesses are, do everything you can to keep them very far away from you. In your case, it's tempting foods, so banish them from the house completely. You'll soon learn to enjoy other things in their place - zucchini, for example is *excellent* with any kind of pasta sauce.

Just make sure you get a copy of the book, plan ahead for your meals, and you're on your way!
