Hey all, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Derek, and have been on the SBD since about Oct. 03. So far I've lost about 20 lbs. My wife is also on it and has lost about 20 lbs also, and is pretty much at her goal weight. I have about another 15 lbs or so to go.

Basically I heard about this diet from my mom's cousins who have had great success with it. I started it, and lost about 15 lbs within the first 2 months. Then along came the christmas, and then we moved across the country, bought a house, started new jobs, bla bla bla....so we've been pretty busy. Diet wise we've kinda been off and on, and I've been teatering between 189 (lowest so far) and 200 over the last 4 months or so (man time goes fast)

Anyways, I've found that I can only really loose weight on phase 1, I don't think I've found the balance of the right foods to eat while on phase 2. So my plan is to do phase 1 for 2 weeks, phase 2 for 1 week, then back to phase 1 until I meet my goal weight. Phase 1 foods really don't bother me too much, though I am getting sick of eggs for breakfast (8 months of mostly eggs does that to you ) I "only" have 16 pounds (as of this morning) to loose, so I hope it doesn't take too long.

After our success on this diet, we've also got my sister, mom, sister-in-law, father in law, and a friend on it and they've all also seen weight loss. Man, too bad I don't get commission on selling books.

Hopefully finding this site will give me the inspiration and motivation to stick with it a little better and be a little stricter when I'm not on phase 1.

i think that sounds okay to me since you're losing weight everytime you're on phase 1. friend of mine switch back and forth between phase 1 and 2 and do lose weight and inches

keep up the good work and keep visiting our friends on south beach threads here
